Finally.....

Well, this has been a most interesting week. Our Internet has been down for a good portion of the week, something I am very much not used to and do not enjoy at all! However, we did survive and were able to get everything fixed. So, I am back. I will be making this post very short with some Halloween pictures because I am very tired and it is getting late.

This was one of the weeks that makes me so thankful I am able to stay home with my Daisy. I admit some times living in a small town and knowing very few people makes being a stay at home mama a little tedious but then there comes a week like this one and I wouldn't trade it for all the money or things in the world. It has been a beautiful fall week and we have spent most of our days outside. Daisy's new favorite activity is picking up pecans or more exactly pecan hulls. We have spent many hours under our pecan tree, we have picnicked, played peekaboo, chase and many other games Daisy understood but I was not privy to. On top of all this we had a wonderful Halloween visit from Nonnie and G-Paw who accompanied us to Trick or Treat in the Square. I could not have pictured a better first Halloween for sweet Daisy. Now for the pictures.... (the quality is not great my camera was acting up)

Daisy Visits the Pumpkin Patch

Hello everyone! We are loving this fall weather and celebrated it today by going to a corn maze/pumpkin patch. Daisy seemed to really enjoy it, until she fell asleep on the hay ride. We went with some friends who have a little girl a little older than Daisy and Daisy seems to be fascinated by her. It is really sweet. We also met some more friends there and their little boy is in some of the pictures with Daisy. He was facinated with Daisy.

Waiting for our friends to head to the pumpkin patch!

Getting ready for the hay slide with Daddy
Still not sure about all of this
They made it!

Our favorite attraction the plastic windmills!

We found a tractor just her size (this is also a new word)
She may have missed her red car but she could push a tractor

Fall, fairs and her first lovey

Daisy and I have had a lovely couple of days, and not just because Matt has been gone :) We have been enjoying the weather SO much! I have to admit Daisy sweats like me when she gets active. There is no shimmering or glowing for us Smith-Diamond girls, we sweat. So I think we both love when the weather turns and we can run all over the yard and stay nice and comfortable. And run we do! Daisy is pretty much jogging everywhere now. She is so excited about being able to get where she wants to go she can't wait to get there. I LOVE it! One of her new favorite things to do is kick her big pink ball. I swear we chased that ball all over the yard all afternoon. Her big pink ball may be her new little red car. Stay tuned!

We also went to the county fair this evening. Daisy LOVED the animals and was either very unimpressed or terrified by the rest of the fair. She got out and walked around all the animal and then stayed bundled up as we  walked all over the rest of the fair. We had a nice time. It was so great to get out and do something different then our normal routine. Plus we got to see where Matt has been volunteering  every evening this past week.

Another noteworthy development comes from Daisy's blanket. She officially has a lovey. She has begun carrying around her blanket everywhere. If I leave the room she will follow me to see where I am going and then run get her blanket and drag it to wherever I am, then sit and play with her blanket near. It is so sweet.

Bundled up for the cold
Cuddly Baby!

Meeting a pony for the first time. She was entranced.
Daisy turned tour guide pointing out the pig to everyone that passed. She soon became the attraction.

Hello Again!

Hey Everyone! Sorry it has been so long. It is easy to get busy with Daisy these days. She is a walking fool. About a month ago she took her first tentative steps and in the days since then she has been practicing and getting stronger and about two weeks ago she took off. She is walking everywhere now. She literally walks circles around the house each day, continuously. I LOVE that she is walking. So many people told me I would hate her walking so early but it is awesome to me. We take a walk around our (very large) yard and down to the mail box every day. Daisy loves it  and it is fun to see how much she loves her independence. Plus now she can easily follow me around the house during the day while we do our chores.

New words for the week:

Dah-by (Darby)
peas (please)
wah-er (water)

Her favorite words are still "dog" and "darby"
She also say "hi" all the time.  It is my favorite thing she says because she says it in such a soft sweet voice. I love it.

She is also starting to find her temper every now and then. Luckily she is a quick study and  stops fussing once she realizes I am ignoring it. I am secretly happy she is showing some temper. Until now she has been so quiet and passive. I know there will be times I hate it but she has such a sweet temperment the majority of the time I am glad to see something different.

And now some pictures.....
